ईर्ष्यु: परसुखं दृष्टवा अन्यस्य न बुभूषक: । त्रिवर्गहन्ता चान्येषामात्मकामानुवर्तक:

Transliteration

īrṣyuḥ parasukhaṃ dṛṣṭvā anyasya na bubhūṣakaḥ | trivargahantā cānyeṣām ātmākāmānuvartakaḥ ||

Translation

Wika ng insekto: “Kapag nakita ko ang kaligayahan ng iba, sumisiklab sa akin ang inggit. Ayaw kong umunlad ang sinuman. Naging hadlang ako sa iba sa tatlong layunin ng buhay—dharma, artha, at kāma—samantalang sinusunod ko lamang ang sarili kong makasariling pagnanasa.”
