मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | स्थानं वारुणमैन्द्रं च रौद्रं वाप्पधिगच्छति

bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhvāno jātavedasam | sthānaṃ vāruṇam aindraṃ ca raudraṃ vāpy adhigacchati ||

Sinabi ni Bhishma: Ang sinumang sa loob ng labindalawang buwan ay walang patid na naghahandog araw-araw sa Jātavedas (apoy ng sakripisyo), ay makakamtan ang mga tahanan nina Varuṇa at Indra, at pati ang daigdig ni Rudra. Ipinakikita ng aral na ang yajña na isinasagawa nang may disiplina at walang paglihis ay nagbubunga ng mataas na hantungan at dangal sa piling ng mga diyos.
