मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
सूर्यमालासमाभासमारोहेत् पाण्डुरं गृहम् आवर्तनानि चत्वारि तथा पद्मानि द्वादशश
sūryamālāsamābhāsam ārohet pāṇḍuraṃ gṛham āvartanāni catvāri tathā padmāni dvādaśaś
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “Aakyat siya sa isang puting palasyong nagniningning na tila kuwintas ng mga araw, na may apat na pabilog na looban at labindalawang anyong tulad ng lotus.”
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma yields an auspicious and radiant फल (result): the verse expresses the reward of righteous conduct through the image of a pure, sun-bright dwelling, suggesting that ethical living culminates in elevated, luminous states of existence.
Bhīṣma continues his instruction in Anuśāsana Parva, describing the splendid, orderly ‘mansion’ one attains—symbolically or as a heavenly reward—characterized by four āvartanāni (courts/turnings) and twelve lotus-like features.
