मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

भोगवांस्तेजसा युक्तो वैश्वानरसमप्रभ:

bhogavāṁs tejasā yukto vaiśvānarasamaprabhaḥ | rudrāṇāṁ ca tathā lokaṁ brahmalokaṁ ca gacchati ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Taglay ang kasaganaan at pagdiriwang ng biyaya, at kaisa ng ningning na espirituwal—nagniningas na tulad ni Vaiśvānara (ang kosmikong apoy)—ang taong iyon ay makararating sa mararangal na daigdig: sa daigdig ng mga Rudra, at maging sa daigdig ni Brahmā. Ipinapakita ng taludtod na ang maningning na disiplina sa sarili at asal na nakatuon sa kabanalan ay humahantong hindi lamang sa ligayang makamundo, kundi sa mas mataas na kalagayan at pakikipag-ugnay sa banal na kaayusan.

The verse teaches that when enjoyment (bhoga) is accompanied by inner radiance and disciplined spiritual power (tejas), one’s life becomes divinely luminous and yields elevated spiritual results—culminating in attainment of higher realms such as Rudraloka and Brahmaloka.

In Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues instructing Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma and the fruits of virtuous conduct. Here he describes the posthumous destiny of a person whose life is marked by prosperity aligned with spiritual brilliance, stating that such a person reaches exalted divine worlds.
