आचारो भूतिजनन आचार: कीर्तिवर्धन: । आचाराद् वर्धते ह्यायुराचारो हन्त्यलक्षणम्
ācāro bhūtijanana ācāraḥ kīrtivardhanaḥ | ācārād vardhate hy āyur ācāro hanti alakṣaṇam ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Ang mabuting asal ang pinagmumulan ng kagalingan, at ang mabuting asal ang nagpapalago ng dangal. Mula sa mabuting asal, tunay ngang humahaba ang buhay; at ang mabuting asal ang pumupuksa sa masasamang palatandaan at hilig.”
