नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा
Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings
एवं धूपप्रदानं च दीपदानं च साधव: । प्रयच्छन्ति नमस्कारैर्युक्तमात्मगुणावहम्,इस प्रकार श्रेष्ठ पुरुष अपने लिये लाभदायक समझकर देवताओंको नमस्कारसहित धूपदान और दीपदान करते हैं
evaṁ dhūpapradānaṁ ca dīpadānaṁ ca sādhavaḥ | prayacchanti namaskārair yuktaṁ ātmaguṇāvaham ||
Sinabi ni Bhishma: “Kaya nga ang mga banal at matuwid, na nauunawaang kapaki-pakinabang ito at nagbubunga ng mabubuting katangian sa sarili, ay nag-aalay ng insenso at mga ilawan, kalakip ang mapitagang pagpupugay sa mga diyos.”
