ततस्तौ सत्यसंकल्पौ मेरौ काउ्चनपर्वते । रमणीये शिलापृष्ठे सहितौ संन्यषीदताम्,तदनन्तर वे दोनों सत्यसंकल्प महात्मा सुवर्णमय पर्वत मेरके एक रमणीय शिलापृष्ठपर एक साथ बैठ गये
tatastau satyasaṅkalpau merau kāñcanaparvate | ramaṇīye śilāpṛṣṭhe sahitau saṃnyasīdatām ||
Pagkaraan, ang dalawang dakilang tao na matatag sa kanilang tapat na panata ay umupo nang magkasama sa isang marikit na batong lapad sa Bundok Meru—ang gintong bundok. Ipinahihiwatig ng tagpo ang tibay ng layon at disiplina ng kalooban, na angkop sa pagninilay at payong-dharma.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights satya-saṅkalpa—steadfast, truthful resolve—as a prerequisite for serious dharmic reflection. By placing the meeting on Meru’s serene, elevated terrain, the narrative signals inner discipline and moral clarity as the foundation for ethical instruction.
Bhīṣma describes two resolute figures arriving at Mount Meru and sitting together on a beautiful rocky platform. This functions as a transition into a calm, authoritative setting for dialogue or instruction.
