Educational Q&A

Sincere worship performed with purity—symbolized by offering flowers—pleases the deities, and their satisfaction results in puṣṭi: nourishment, flourishing, and supportive prosperity for the worshipper.

Śukra is instructing about dharmic conduct related to worship: he states a cause-and-effect principle that a pure person’s floral offerings delight the gods, and the pleased gods reciprocate by granting well-being (puṣṭi).
