Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence
जीवितं त्वदधीनं मे संतानमपि चाक्षयम् | तस्मात् त्वं जीव मे पुत्र सुसुखी शरदां शतम्,“मेरा जीवन तथा अक्षय संतान-परम्परा भी तुम्हारे ही अधीन है, अतः पुत्र! तुम अत्यन्त सुखी होकर सौ वर्षोतक जीवन धारण करो
jīvitaṁ tvad-adhīnaṁ me santānam api cākṣayam | tasmāt tvaṁ jīva me putra su-sukhī śaradāṁ śatam ||
Wika ni Duṣyanta: “Ang aking buhay ay nakasalalay sa iyo, gayundin ang aking di-napapatid na lahi. Kaya, anak ko, mabuhay ka—nawa’y manahan ka sa dakilang ligaya sa loob ng sandaang taglagas.”
