आशीविषै: कृष्णसर्प: सुप्तं चैनमदंशयत् | सर्वेष्वेवाड्गदेशेषु न ममार च शत्रुहा,एक दिन दुर्योधनने भीमसेनको सोते समय उनके सम्पूर्ण अंग-प्रत्यंगोंमें काले साँपोंसे डँसवा दिया, किंतु शत्रुधाती भीम मर न सके
Āśīviṣaiḥ kṛṣṇasarpaḥ suptaṃ cainam adaṃśayat | sarveṣv evāṅgadeśeṣu na mamāra ca śatruhā ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ipinakagat ni Duryodhana kay Bhīmasena, habang siya’y natutulog, ang mga makamandag na itim na ahas sa buong katawan. Ngunit si Bhīma—tagapagpuksa ng kaaway—ay hindi namatay.
