आस्तीक उवाच
Rightly performed sacrifice is portrayed as a dharmic act: when offerings are made according to proper form and intention, Agni—mediator between humans and gods—accepts them. The verse emphasizes auspicious order (rightward movement) and reverent address through divine epithets.
Āstīka describes Agni’s presence at the rite: the fire is blazing with auspicious right-turning flames and is consuming the offered havya. By naming Agni with multiple traditional titles, he affirms that the oblation has been received and that the ritual is proceeding effectively.
