Jaratkāru-nirukti and Parīkṣit’s forest encounter (जরত्कारुनिरुक्तिः—परिक्षिद्वनप्रसङ्गः)
शेष उवाच सोदर्या मम सर्वे हि भ्रातरो मन्दचेतस: । सह तैर्नोत्सहे वस्तुं तद् भवाननुमन्यताम्,शेषनाग बोले--भगवन्! मेरे सब सहोदर भाई बड़े मन्दबुद्धि हैं, अतः मैं उनके साथ नहीं रहना चाहता। आप मेरी इस इच्छाका अनुमोदन करें
śeṣa uvāca: sodaryā mama sarve hi bhrātaro mandacetasaḥ | saha tair notsahe vastum tad bhavān anumanyatām ||
Wika ni Śeṣa: “Panginoon, ang lahat ng aking mga kapatid na tunay na magkakasama ng magulang ay mapurol ang isip. Kaya ayaw kong manirahan kasama nila. Nawa’y sang-ayunan at pahintulutan ninyo ang pasyang ito ko.”
