Janamejaya uvāca: kimarthaṁ śārkukān agnir na dadāha tathāgate? tasmin vane dahamāne brahman etat pracakṣya me.
Sinabi ni Janamejaya: “Bakit hindi sinunog ni Agni ang mga ibong Śārkuka nang siya’y dumating doon? Nang nilalamon ng apoy ang gubat na iyon, O Brahman, ipaliwanag mo ito sa akin.”
