Gaṅgādvāra-tīrtha, Ulūpī-saṃvāda, and Arjuna’s Dharma-Deliberation (गङ्गाद्वार-तीर्थम्, उलूपी-संवादः)
ततस्ते पाण्डवास्तत्र गत्वा कृष्णपुरोगमा: । मण्डयांचक्रिरे तद् वै परं स्वर्गवदच्युता:,तदनन्तर अपनी मर्यादासे कभी च्युत न होनेवाले पाण्डवोंने श्रीकृष्णसहित वहाँ जाकर उस स्थानको उत्तम स्वर्गलोककी भाँति शोभायमान कर दिया
tatas te pāṇḍavās tatra gatvā kṛṣṇapurogamaḥ | maṇḍayāṃ cakrire tad vai paraṃ svargavad acyutāḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Pagkaraan, ang mga Pāṇḍava, na si Kṛṣṇa ang nangunguna bilang pinuno, ay nagtungo roon at ginawang maringal ang lugar—tunay na wari’y pinakamataas na langit—na hindi kailanman lumilihis sa wastong hangganan at asal na nararapat.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Steadfast adherence to dharma and proper limits (maryādā) is portrayed as beautifying and sanctifying one’s surroundings; righteous people, guided by a worthy leader, elevate a place into something ‘heaven-like’ through conduct rather than mere display.
The Pāṇḍavas arrive at a particular location with Kṛṣṇa leading them, and by their presence and arrangements they make the place splendid, comparable to heaven; the narrator emphasizes their steadiness and unswerving propriety.
