समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

परिदेवनं च पाज्चाल्या वासुदेवस्य संनिधौ | आश्चासनं च कृष्णेन दु:खार्ताया: प्रकीर्तितम्,द्रौपदी श्रीकृष्णके पास बहुत रोयी-कलपी। श्रीकृष्णने दुःखार्त द्रौपदीको आश्वासन दिया। यह सब कथा वनपर्वमें है
paridevanaṃ ca pāñcālyā vāsudevasya saṃnidhau | āśvāsanaṃ ca kṛṣṇena duḥkhārtāyāḥ prakīrtitam |
Isinasalaysay kung paanong si Pāñcālī (Draupadī), sa harap ni Vāsudeva, ay naglupasay sa panaghoy at ibinuhos ang kanyang dalamhati; at kung paanong inaliw at pinalakas siya ni Kṛṣṇa sa gitna ng pagdurusa. Itinatampok ng talatang ito ang mahabaging pag-aliw sa nagdadalamhati at ang tungkuling etikal na pangalagaan ang pag-asa at dharma sa gitna ng sakit.
