अथ शुश्राव संगत्या वेदाध्ययननि:स्वनम् । पृष्ठत: परिपूर्णार्थ षड़भिरज्जैरलंकृतम्,मुनिको पीछेकी ओरसे संगतिपूर्वक छहों अंगोंसे अलंकृत तथा स्फुट अर्थोसे युक्त वेदमन्त्रोंके अध्ययनका शब्द सुन पड़ा
atha śuśrāva saṃgatyā vedādhyayana-niḥsvanam | pṛṣṭhataḥ paripūrṇārthaṃ ṣaḍbhir aṅgair alaṅkṛtam ||
Pagkaraan, narinig niya mula sa likuran ang tunog ng pagbigkas ng Veda—inaawit sa wastong kumpas at may tamang intonasyon—hitik sa malinaw na kahulugan at pinalalamutian ng anim na sangay na pantulong ng Veda (Vedāṅga). Ipinakikita ng tagpong ito ang paggalang sa banal na pag-aaral: ang tunay na pag-aaral ay hindi lamang tunog, kundi disiplinadong pagbigkas na sinasandigan ng buong tradisyong nag-iingat sa kahulugan at dharma.
गन्धर्व उवाच
