उक्तवानस्मि येन त्वां तापत्य इति यद्‌ वच: । तत्‌ ते5हं कथयिष्यामि शृणुष्वैकमना भव,मैंने जिस कारण अपने वक्तव्यमें तुम्हें 'तापत्य” कहा है, वह बता रहा हूँ, एकाग्रचित्त होकर सुनो

uktavān asmi yena tvāṃ tāpatya iti yad vacaḥ | tat te 'haṃ kathayiṣyāmi śṛṇuṣvaikamanā bhava ||

Wika ng Gandharva: “Nasabi ko na ang mga salitang itinawag ko sa iyo na ‘Tāpatya.’ Ngayon ay ipaliliwanag ko ang dahilan ng pagtawag na iyon—makinig ka nang may iisang diwa at buong pagtuon.”
