लोभात् प्रचारं चरतस्तासु वेलासु वै नरान् । उपक्रान्तानि गृह्नीमो राक्षसैः सह बालिशान्,“जो मनुष्य लोभवश हमलोगोंकी वेलामें इधर घूमते हुए आ जाते हैं, उन मूर्खोंकी हम गन्धर्व और राक्षस कैद कर लेते हैं
lobhāt pracāraṃ caratas tāsu velāsu vai narān | upakrāntāni gṛhṇīmo rākṣasaiḥ saha bāliśān |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Dahil sa kasakiman, kapag ang mga tao ay gumagala sa mga panahong iyon na ipinagbabawal, kami—kasama ng mga Rākṣasa—ay sumasakmal, dumadakip, at nagtatali sa mga hangal na nanghihimasok na nangahas pumasok.”
