राम उवाच शरीरमात्रमेवाद्य मया समवशेषितम् । अस्त्राणि वा शरीर वा ब्रह्मन्नेकतमं वृणु,परशुरामजीने कहा--ब्रह्म! अब तो केवल मैंने अपने शरीरको ही बचा रखा है (शरीरके सिवा सब कुछ दान कर दिया)। अतः अब तुम मेरे अस्त्रों अथवा यह शरीर-- दोनोंमेंसे किसी एकको माँग लो
rāma uvāca śarīramātram evādya mayā samavaśeṣitam | astrāṇi vā śarīraṃ vā brahmann ekatamaṃ vṛṇu ||
Wika ni Rama: “O Brahmin, sa araw na ito, wala nang natira sa akin kundi ang aking katawan lamang. Kaya pumili ka sa dalawa—alinman sa aking mga sandata o ang mismong katawang ito.”
