विश्रान्तेडथ गुरौ तस्मिन्‌ पौत्रानादाय कौरवान्‌ | शिष्यत्वेन ददौ भीष्मो वसूनि विविधानि च

viśrānte 'tha gurau tasmin pautrān ādāya kauravān | śiṣyatvena dadau bhīṣmo vasūni vividhāni ca ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang makapagpahinga na ang gurong iyon, dinala ni Bhīṣma ang mga apo ng angkang Kuru at pormal na ipinagkatiwala sila sa kanya bilang mga alagad; at nagkaloob din siya ng sari-saring kayamanan.
