The verse emphasizes trust in truthful counsel (the Brahmin’s statement), the importance of proper timing (kāla), and ethical procedure through seeking the king’s permission before undertaking a powerful ritual act aimed at the welfare of the family line.
A woman (speaking through Vaiśampāyana’s narration) tells the king that the Brahmin’s earlier words have become relevant now, and that—if the king grants consent—she can use a specific mantra to invoke a deity so that they may obtain beneficial offspring.
