अभाग्यया मया नून॑ वियुक्ता: सहचारिण: । तेन मे विप्रयोगो5यमुपपन्नस्त्वया सह,मुझ अभागिनीने निश्चय ही कितने ही जीवनसंगियों (स्त्री-पुरुषों)-में विछोह कराया होगा। इसीलिये आज आपके साथ मेरा वियोग घटित हुआ है

abhāgyayā mayā nūnaṁ viyuktāḥ sahacāriṇaḥ | tena me viprayogo 'yam upapannas tvayā saha ||

“Tunay ngang dahil sa sarili kong kamalasan, marahil ay marami akong naging sanhi ng pagkakahiwalay ng mga kasama sa buhay sa kanilang mga kapareha. Kaya nararapat lamang na dumating din sa akin ang paglayong ito—ang paghiwalay ko sa iyo.”
