Educational Q&A

This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: it teaches how the epic is structured—parva, sub-parva, and thematic units—reminding readers that narratives of lineage and royal conduct are presented in ordered segments whose conclusions invite reflection before moving forward.

The narrator signals the completion of the chapter dealing with Pāṇḍu’s account within the Sambhava (origins) section of the Ādi Parva. It functions as a formal closure and transition marker to the next chapter/topic.
