Pāṇḍu’s Gifts, Forest Residence, and Vidura’s Marriage

श्वश्वास्तद्‌ वचन श्रुत्वा शयाना शयने शुभे । साचिन्तयत्‌ तदा भीष्ममन्यांश्व॒ कुरुपुड्रवान्‌,सासकी यह बात सुनकर कौसल्या पवित्र शय्यापर शयन करके उस समय मन-ही-मन भीष्म तथा अन्य श्रेष्ठ कुरुवंशियोंका चिन्तन करने लगी

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Śvaśvā tad vacanaṃ śrutvā śayānā śayane śubhe | sā cintayat tadā Bhīṣmam anyāṃś ca Kuru-puṅgavān ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang marinig ni Śvaśvā ang mga salitang iyon, habang nakahimlay sa isang mapalad na higaan, noon din ay nagmuni-muni siya sa loob ng puso tungkol kay Bhīṣma at sa iba pang pinakadakilang bayani ng angkan ng Kuru—iniukol ang isip sa mga nakatatanda at huwaran na ang payo at pag-iingat ang nagtataguyod ng dharma sa sambahayan ng hari.
