शरभप्रादुर्भावो नाम षण्णवतितमोऽध्यायः (जलन्धरविमर्दनम्)
बालभावे च भगवान् तपसैव विनिर्जितः ब्रह्मा बली यौवने वै मुनयः सुरपुङ्गवैः
bālabhāve ca bhagavān tapasaiva vinirjitaḥ brahmā balī yauvane vai munayaḥ surapuṅgavaiḥ
Kahit sa kanyang pagkabata, ang Pinagpalang Panginoon ay hindi magapi—nakuha lamang sa pamamagitan ng tapas (pagpapakasakit). Sa kabataan, maging ang makapangyarihang si Brahma ay napasuko; gayundin ang mga pantas, kasama ang mga pinakadakila sa mga diyos.
