Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
वैश्यः पञ्चदशाहेन शूद्रो मासेन शुध्यति इति संक्षेपतः प्रोक्ता द्रव्यशुद्धिरनुत्तमा
vaiśyaḥ pañcadaśāhena śūdro māsena śudhyati iti saṃkṣepataḥ proktā dravyaśuddhiranuttamā
Ang Vaiśya ay nalilinis sa loob ng labinlimang araw, at ang Śūdra ay nalilinis sa loob ng isang buwan. Sa gayon, sa maikling sabi, ipinahayag ang walang kapantay na tuntunin ng paglilinis ng mga bagay (dravya-śuddhi).
