Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
स्नानमात्रेण वै शुद्धिर् मरणे समुपस्थिते तत ऋतुत्रयादर्वाग् एकाहः परिगीयते
snānamātreṇa vai śuddhir maraṇe samupasthite tata ṛtutrayādarvāg ekāhaḥ parigīyate
Kapag naganap ang kamatayan, ang paglilinis ay tunay na natatamo sa pagligo lamang. At para sa mga nasa unang tatlong “panahon” (ng buhay), ang panahon ng karumihan ay ipinahahayag na isang araw lamang.
