Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
एकाहाद् यज्ञयाजिनां शुद्धिरुक्ता स्वयंभुवा ततस्त्वधीतशाखानां चतुर्भिः सर्वदेहिनाम्
ekāhād yajñayājināṃ śuddhiruktā svayaṃbhuvā tatastvadhītaśākhānāṃ caturbhiḥ sarvadehinām
Ipinahayag ni Svayambhū (Brahmā) na ang mga abala sa pagsasagawa ng yajña ay nalilinis sa loob ng isang araw. Pagkaraan nito, para sa lahat ng may katawan—lalo na yaong nag-aral ng mga sangay ng Veda—ang paglilinis ay natatamo sa loob ng apat na araw.
