व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)
यो ऽब्दमेकं प्रकुर्वीत नक्तं पर्वसु पर्वसु ब्रह्मचारी जितक्रोधः शिवध्यानपरायणः
yo 'bdamekaṃ prakurvīta naktaṃ parvasu parvasu brahmacārī jitakrodhaḥ śivadhyānaparāyaṇaḥ
Sinumang magsagawa ng pagtalimaing ito sa loob ng isang buong taon—kumakain lamang sa gabi sa bawat banal na pagtagpo ng kalahating-buwan—na nananatiling brahmacārin, nagwawagi sa galit, at lubos na nakatuon sa pagninilay kay Śiva, ay nagiging karapat-dapat sa Panginoon (Pati). Sa disiplinadong pagpipigil, lumuluwag ang mga tali (pāśa) na gumagapos sa kaluluwa (paśu).
