व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)

अग्निकार्यमधःशय्यां नक्तभोजी समाचरेत् प्रतिमासं प्रवक्ष्यामि शिवव्रतमनुत्तमम्

agnikāryamadhaḥśayyāṃ naktabhojī samācaret pratimāsaṃ pravakṣyāmi śivavratamanuttamam

Dapat niyang isagawa ang banal na tungkulin ng apoy, matulog sa mababang higaan, at kumain lamang sa gabi. Ngayon ay ipaliliwanag ko, buwan-buwan, ang walang kapantay na panata ni Śiva—na sa pamamagitan nito ang paśu (kaluluwang nakagapos) ay nalilinis mula sa pāśa (pagkagapos) at nagiging karapat-dapat sa biyaya ng Pati (Panginoon).
