Adhyaya 8: Yogasthanas, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama-Siddhi, and Shiva-Dhyana leading to Samadhi

कालान्तरवशाद्योगाद् दम्यते परमादरात् तथा परिचयात्स्वास्थ्यं समत्वं चाधिगच्छति

kālāntaravaśādyogād damyate paramādarāt tathā paricayātsvāsthyaṃ samatvaṃ cādhigacchati

Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagsasanay sa paglipas ng panahon, at sa yoga na isinasagawa nang may pinakamataas na paggalang, napipigil ang isip. Sa tuloy-tuloy na pagkasanay sa disiplinang iyon, nakakamit ang panloob na katatagan at pagkakapantay ng pagtanaw—nararapat upang ang Pāśu (kaluluwa) ay lumuwag sa mga tali (pāśa) sa biyaya ni Pati, si Śiva.
