स्वदेहपिण्डं जुहुयाद् यः स याति परां गतिम् यावत्तावन्निराहारो भूत्वा प्राणान् परित्यजेत्
svadehapiṇḍaṃ juhuyād yaḥ sa yāti parāṃ gatim yāvattāvannirāhāro bhūtvā prāṇān parityajet
Sinumang maghandog ng sarili niyang katawan bilang alay sa apoy (juhu) ay makaaabot sa kataas-taasang kalagayan. Manatiling walang pagkain sa itinakdang panahon, at saka bitawan ang prāṇa—ang hininga ng buhay—sa gayon napuputol ang gapos ng paśu at nararating ang Pati, si Śiva.
