Adhyaya 72 — Puradāha: Rudra’s Cosmic Chariot, Pāśupata-Vrata, and Brahmā’s Shiva-Stuti

शताक्षश्चैव पञ्चाक्षः सहस्राक्षो महोदरः यमजिह्वः शताश्वश् च कण्ठनः कण्ठपूजनः

śatākṣaścaiva pañcākṣaḥ sahasrākṣo mahodaraḥ yamajihvaḥ śatāśvaś ca kaṇṭhanaḥ kaṇṭhapūjanaḥ

Siya ang May Isangdaang Mata (Śatākṣa) at ang Panginoon ng Limang Pantig (Pañcākṣa); ang May Isanglibong Mata (Sahasrākṣa), ang may malawak na pagkatao (Mahodara). Siya ang Yamajihva, “dila ni Yama,” kapangyarihang pumipigil at humahatol; Siya ang Śatāśva, “isandaang kabayo,” mabilis at laganap. Siya ang Kaṇṭhana, ang nagpapakilos sa lalamunan, at ang Kaṇṭhapūjana, ang sinasamba sa lalamunan—pinupuri bilang Nīlakaṇṭha, tagapasan ng lason ng sansinukob upang iligtas ang lahat ng nilalang.
