Suta Goswami (narrating the Purva-Bhaga cosmological teaching within the Linga Purana frame)
It frames the cosmos as an interpenetrating, mutually sustaining order—an outlook used in Linga-puja where the Linga is contemplated as the axis of all tattvas, integrating Earth (stability) and Agni (transformation) under Shiva as Pati.
By implying an ordered, intelligible interweaving of elements, it points to Shiva-tattva as the governing consciousness (Pati) in which elemental functions are coordinated; the Pashu experiences these bhutas through pasha (bondage) until purified by right knowledge and worship.
It supports bhuta-shuddhi (elemental purification) and directional ritual mapping: meditating on Earth’s steadiness and Agni’s purifying power in their ordained quarters as part of Shaiva worship and Pashupata-oriented inner discipline.
