Linga Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 14

सूर्यरथनिर्णयः (चन्द्रस्य पक्षवृद्धिक्षयविधानम्)

ततः पञ्चदशे भागे किंचिच्छिष्टे कलात्मके अपराह्णे पितृगणा जघन्यं पर्युपासते

tataḥ pañcadaśe bhāge kiṃcicchiṣṭe kalātmake aparāhṇe pitṛgaṇā jaghanyaṃ paryupāsate

Pagkaraan nito, kapag ang ikalabinlimang bahagi ng araw—na binubuo ng maseselang kalā—ay may kaunting nalalabi sa aparāhṇa (huling bahagi ng hapon), ang mga pangkat ng Pitṛ ay dumadalo sa pinakamababa at nalalabing bahagi, naghihintay sa mga handog na iniaalay sa oras na iyon.
