भुवनकोशस्वभाववर्णनम् — सप्तद्वीप-पर्वत-लोकविन्यासः तथा यक्ष-उमा-प्रकाशः

विस्तारान्मण्डलाच्चैव पुष्करस्य समेन तु एवं द्वीपाः समुद्रैस्तु सप्तसप्तभिर् आवृताः

vistārānmaṇḍalāccaiva puṣkarasya samena tu evaṃ dvīpāḥ samudraistu saptasaptabhir āvṛtāḥ

Kaya nito, sa lawak at pabilog na anyo—katulad ng Puṣkara—ang mga kontinente (dvīpa) na ito ay napalilibutan ng mga karagatan ayon sa wastong kaayusan; bawat hanay ay pinaliligiran ng pitong dagat. Sa kosmos na may ganitong ayos, itinatatag ng Pati, ang Panginoon, ang sukat at hangganan; samantalang ang mga kaluluwang nakagapos (paśu) ay gumagala sa mga larangan ng karanasan na hinubog ng pāśa, ang tali ng pagkaalipin.
