Adhyaya 40: Kali-yuga Lakshana, Yuga-sandhyamsha, and the Re-emergence of Dharma

उत्सीदन्ति नराश्चैव क्षत्रियाश् च विशः क्रमात् शूद्राणां मन्त्रयोगेन संबन्धो ब्राह्मणैः सह

utsīdanti narāścaiva kṣatriyāś ca viśaḥ kramāt śūdrāṇāṃ mantrayogena saṃbandho brāhmaṇaiḥ saha

Sa paglipas ng panahon, ang mga tao ay humihina—pati ang mga kṣatriya at vaiśya—hakbang-hakbang. At dahil sa maling paglalapat ng mga mantra, ang mga śūdra ay napapaugnay sa mga brāhmaṇa, kaya nalilito ang mga hangganan ng kaayusang panlipunan ayon sa dharma.
