Adhyaya 4: अहोरात्र-युग-मन्वन्तर-कल्पमान तथा प्रलयान्ते सृष्ट्युपक्रमः
विंशतिश् च सहस्राणि कालो ऽयम् अधिकं विना मन्वन्तरस्य संख्यैषा लैङ्गे ऽस्मिन्कीर्तिता द्विजाः
viṃśatiś ca sahasrāṇi kālo 'yam adhikaṃ vinā manvantarasya saṃkhyaiṣā laiṅge 'sminkīrtitā dvijāḥ
O mga dalawang-ulit-na-ipinanganak! Ito ang sukat ng Manvantara—dalawampung libo (yunit ng panahon), nang hindi isinasama ang dagdag na bahaging isinisingit. Ang bilang na ito’y itinuro rito sa Liṅga Purāṇa.
