Adhyaya 27
सेचयेदर्चनस्थानं गन्धचन्दनवारिणा द्रव्याणि शोधयेत्पश्चात् क्षालनप्रोक्षणादिभिः
secayedarcanasthānaṃ gandhacandanavāriṇā dravyāṇi śodhayetpaścāt kṣālanaprokṣaṇādibhiḥ
Dapat basain ang pook ng pagsamba ng tubig na may halimuyak at sandalwood; pagkatapos, linisin ang mga gamit sa ritwal sa pamamagitan ng paghuhugas, pagwiwisik, at iba pang itinakdang gawain—upang ang pagsamba kay Pati (Śiva) ay maisagawa sa panlabas at panloob na kalinisan, na nagpapaluwag sa tali (pāśa) ng pashu (kaluluwang nakagapos).

It establishes pūrva-śauca (preliminary purification): sanctifying the worship-space and cleansing the offerings so the Linga-pūjā is ritually fit and spiritually focused.
Śiva is approached as Pati—the supreme Lord—whose worship requires purity of environment and intention, helping the pashu move away from pāśa through disciplined observance.
Ritual shauca: sprinkling with scented sandalwater and purifying articles by washing and prokṣaṇa—foundational disciplines that support Pāśupata-oriented Shiva worship.
