Adhyaya 10
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana; verse preserves an instruction within the Linga-worship narrative)
It links Liṅga-darśana (direct spiritual recognition of the Liṅga) to two core disciplines—dhyāna and pūjā—specifically prescribing worship of Shiva as Pañcānana (the Five-Faced Lord), emphasizing orthodox, purified ritual support.
Shiva is indicated as Pati revealed through the Liṅga and expressible for worship as the fivefold manifestation (Pañcabrahma/Pañcānana), a form that integrates transcendence (Liṅga as signless Reality) with accessible divine functions for the bound pashu seeking release from pāśa.
It highlights Liṅga-dhyāna (meditative absorption on the Liṅga) alongside formal Pañcānana-pūjā, implying a disciplined, Vaidika-Śaiva worship setting with five ritually pure dvijas as officiants.
