FAQs

This verse links the human body to Vedic ritual space: the householder’s Gārhapatya fire is envisioned in the abdomen, while the Dakṣiṇa fire is placed at the back, sacralizing bodily life as a field of dharma.

By portraying the body as a seat of divine prosperity (Śrī/Lakṣmī) and ritual fires (Agni), it implies that one’s inner purity and dharmic living shape the subtle journey—ritual order within supports orderly transition beyond.

Treat the body as a sacred trust: maintain purity, disciplined living, and daily offerings/intentionality (Agni as inner discipline), so prosperity and dharma are sustained in life and honored at death rites.
