नामाष्टषष्ट्यधिकशततमो ऽध्यायः धन्वन्तरिरुवाच / हिताहितविकेकाय अनुपानविधिं ब्रुवे / रक्तशालि त्रिदोषघ्नं तृष्णामेदोनिवारकम्
nāmāṣṭaṣaṣṭyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ dhanvantariruvāca / hitāhitavikekāya anupānavidhiṃ bruve / raktaśāli tridoṣaghnaṃ tṛṣṇāmedonivārakam
Ito ang kabanata na ika-isang daan at animnapu’t siyam. Wika ni Dhanvantari: “Upang makilala ang kapaki-pakinabang at ang nakapipinsala, ipaliliwanag ko ang tuntunin ng anupāna (ang wastong kasabay na inumin). Ang pulang śāli na bigas ay nagpapatahimik sa tatlong doṣa at nagpapawi ng uhaw at labis na taba.”
