Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.157 (shift from symptom description to mind/discipline guidance within the medical frame)
This verse teaches that actions should be performed without clinging, while maintaining a universal Self-vision (sarvātmā); such detachment preserves dharma and inner steadiness.
It states that when fear disrupts the mind (bhayena kṣubhite citte), one should deliberately settle it—symbolized by resting/lying down (śāyite)—and soften the turmoil through purity and right conduct (saccha-kṛt).
Do your responsibilities without obsession, and when fear spikes, pause and regulate the body-mind (rest, breathe, withdraw from stimuli), returning to clear, ethical action.
