Lord Viṣṇu (in instruction to Garuḍa/Vainateya, within a nyāsa-mantra exposition)
Concept: Auspiciousness (śrī) and nourishment (puṣṭi) are integral to Viṣṇu’s presence; sacred marks and garlands are not mere ornaments but theological signs encoded in mantra.
Vedantic Theme: Śrī as inseparable śakti of Nārāyaṇa; auspicious attributes as supports for upāsanā and inner alignment.
Application: In pūjā or meditation, visualize Śrīvatsa on the chest and Vanamālā garland; invoke Śrī and Puṣṭikā for sattvic prosperity—ethical abundance aligned with devotion.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

This verse shows how specific bīja-syllables are ritually assigned to divine attributes of Viṣṇu—Śrī, Puṣṭikā, Vanamālā, and Śrīvatsa—so worship becomes an internalized visualization and consecration of the body-mind.
Although the Garuda Purana is famous for afterlife teachings, it also preserves practical Vaiṣṇava ritual science; here it details symbolic correspondences used in worship to cultivate auspiciousness, prosperity, and devotion.
Use it as a contemplative guide: while reciting or meditating on Viṣṇu, mentally associate auspiciousness (Śrī), nourishment (Puṣṭikā), and sacred insignia (Vanamālā, Śrīvatsa) with the Lord’s form to steady attention and devotion.
