The Slaying of Hiraṇyākṣa and the Triumph of Varāha
This verse depicts the direct challenge to fight—showing the intensity of the Lord’s līlā in confronting the demon’s aggression and pride.
In the narrative of the battle, the Lord addresses the demon to face combat properly, exposing his boastful desire for victory while the Lord upholds dharma through līlā.
Empty pride and aggression are eventually checked by higher order; one should act with discipline and righteousness rather than domination-minded competitiveness.
