Parīkṣit’s Vow on the Gaṅgā and the Advent of Śukadeva Gosvāmī
आश्रुत्य तदृषिगणवच: परीक्षित् समं मधुच्युद् गुरु चाव्यलीकम् । आभाषतैनानभिनन्द्य युक्तान् शुश्रूषमाणश्चरितानि विष्णो: ॥ २२ ॥
āśrutya tad ṛṣi-gaṇa-vacaḥ parīkṣit samaṁ madhu-cyud guru cāvyalīkam ābhāṣatainān abhinandya yuktān śuśrūṣamāṇaś caritāni viṣṇoḥ
Ang mga salita ng mga rishi ay napakatamis pakinggan, punô ng kahulugan, angkop ang pagkakalahad, at ganap na totoo. Pagkarinig nito, si Mahārāja Parīkṣit—na nagnanais marinig ang mga gawain ni Viṣṇu (Śrī Kṛṣṇa)—ay bumati at nagbigay-pugay sa mga karapat-dapat na mahārṣi, at nagsalita nang may paggalang.
