Nābhāga’s Inheritance, Śiva’s Verdict, and the Rise of Ambarīṣa—Prelude to Durvāsā’s Offense
This verse shows Sudarśana-cakra relentlessly pursuing Durvāsā, illustrating that the Lord’s own potency actively safeguards His devotee and checks those who harm or offend them.
In the Ambarīṣa–Durvāsā episode, Durvāsā’s offense and aggression toward the devotee led to the Lord’s disc pursuing him; realizing he could not escape, he fled seeking refuge.
Avoid disrespecting sincere devotees, practice humility, and trust that sincere devotion brings divine protection—even when worldly power or status cannot save one from the results of wrongdoing.
