Śrāddhadeva Manu’s Sons: Pṛṣadhra’s Curse and Renunciation; Genealogies of Nariṣyanta and Diṣṭa
In this verse, Budha is presented as a descendant in the Moon dynasty line, born from Vegavān, and the father of King Tṛṇabindu.
Genealogies situate sacred history, showing how dharmic kings and great personalities appear in established lineages, preparing the reader for later avatāra-linked narratives.
It encourages remembrance of sacred history and respect for lineage, tradition, and responsibility—seeing one’s life as part of a larger chain of duty and devotion.
