सहस्रशिरस: पुंसो नाभिह्रदसरोरुहात् । जातस्यासीत् सुतो धातुरत्रि: पितृसमो गुणै: ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration

sahasra-śirasaḥ puṁso nābhi-hrada-saroruhāt jātasyāsīt suto dhātur atriḥ pitṛ-samo guṇaiḥ

Translation

Si Viṣṇu, ang Puruṣa na may sanlibong ulo, mula sa lawa sa Kanyang pusod ay sumibol ang lotus; sa lotus na iyon isinilang si Dhātā Brahmā. Si Atri, anak ni Brahmā, ay kapantay ng ama sa mga katangian.
