श्रीसूत उवाच एवं परीक्षिता राज्ञा सदसि ब्रह्मवादिनाम् । पृष्ट: प्रोवाच भगवाञ्छुक: परमधर्मवित् ॥ ६ ॥

Sinabi ni Sūta Gosvāmī: Nang hilingin ito ni Mahārāja Parīkṣit sa kapulungan ng mga pantas na bihasa sa Veda, si Śukadeva Gosvāmī, ang pinakadakilang nakaaalam ng dharma, ay nagsimulang magsalita.
